born to a human mother and vampiric father. this was no love match, and the fate of a dhampir meant that her first breath marked her mother's last— humans aren't meant to survive giving birth to a vampire's child.

as a halfling, yeeun has learned to sustain herself fairly well on human food, so long as she eats plenty and often. her appetite, due to her metabolism, is notably large and dampened, for a short time, only by consuming blood.

with this, she feeds in moderation, usually on the nights of a hunt to ensure her strength-- of both body and senses. other times, on a need to basis. it's a rare find, those who would willingly offer blood, and though she tries her best, she can't always ensure a consenting party. Usually. but... not always.

her status as a dhampir is not widely known. humans think she's human, but other beings may smell it on her, the tinge of something off. some may smell the vampire in her outright.

works contractually or by bounty. while hunting she dons a mask fashioned after the ill-tempered butcher 'baekjung', a character in the ancient ritual dance drama based in Hahoe. this has earned her a few nicknames in the underworld (very on the nose: butcher, baek), but Yen is the only one she responds to.

her hunts don't always end in a kill; at times she's hired merely to collect info, determine the whereabouts of a demon or find out the specifications of an active contract. other times, she keeps tabs on her own— keeping close watch on a personal roster of demons, lest they cause enough trouble for her to intervene. rarely, she kills on her own, without motive.

although she specializes in demons, she will, if contracted, hunt and/or kill vampires.

she can be elusive, so contacting her can be tricky, but there is always a way. whether by word of mouth, through the black market, or a number floating around that leads to a burner phone. rumor says, that if you visit the right places, she'll find you.

there is a black market that thrives behind the apothecary bar, loud with the stink of greed. yeeun is one of their top suppliers.

when her hunts do end in a kill, she picks apart the remains, stores their "powers" in an orb of sorts, and sells them to present on the market.
